"Harmonium," a folk-rock "suite," is the first track on the debut album, Harmonium, by the band Harmonium. The song was released as a 7" promo in 1975.
When my neighbour and friend Mark Daniher returned from his tour with Katimavik, circa 1980, his baggage/influences were full of Canadian music and books – as I recall, Harmonium was among the former (and Leon Rooke's Fat Woman among the latter), although I suspect that my brother Tim may have introduced me to them even earlier than that.
