"The Way I Walk" is one of a string of rockabilly hits from Jack Scott, a Windsor-born, Detroit-based singer who Dave Marsh – in The Heart of Rock and Soul – said "was undeniably the greatest Canadian rock and roll singer of all time." Marsh chose "Goodbye Baby" as Scott's peak performance, but "The Way I Walk" gets the nod here because of The Cramps' 1978 cover version. It ranked 90th in CBC's list of the greatest Canadian songs ever.
