"Baby Ran" was the lead track and first single ("I Go Blind," later covered by Hootie & the Blowfish, followed) from 54-40's eponymous second album. With its power chords and anthemic chorus, "Baby Ran" became a Canadian college radio favourite and helped the band make in-roads in the USA. It placed 41st in Chart magazine's 2000 poll, 47th in the Mar*Star's 2011 poll and 55th in Huntington Post's 2014 list of greatest Canadian songs.
