In 1997, the Ennis Sisters – a traditional trio from Newfoundland – released a CD called Red Is the Rose, which I bought during one of my shopping sprees at Fred's in St. John's. Tracy and I fell in love with the album, especially track 5, "Out from St. Leonard's," a song about the resettlement of people from the outports.
