Moe Koffman – The Swingin' Shepherd Blues

"The Swingin' Shepherd Blues" has been recorded by over 300 different artists, on instruments as varied as piano, synthesizer, guitar, and steel guitar, since being recorded on flute by its composer, Moe Koffman, in 1957.

When Tracy and I were engaged, I bought her a flute as a gift (rather than a ring), and later picked up a Moe Koffman "TV-only" compilation, figuring she could play along with tunes such as this one.
