Jane Siberry – Mimi on the Beach

There is something about this song – the first single from Jane Siberry – that has appealed to me ever since I first heard it during university, probably at the Level in downtown Kitchener. It has the artiness of a Laurie Anderson composition, but the accessibility of a new wave pop hit.

"Mimi on the Beach" ranked 34th in Mar*Star's Canada 125 poll, 48th in Mar*Star's 2011 poll, and 77th on Huntington Post's list.
