Mandala – Love-itis

"Love-itis," though originally recorded and released by Harvey Scales and the Seven Sounds in 1967, was popularized in a version by the Canadian band Mandala in 1968. The J. Geils Band subsequently covered the song in 1975.

I was very excited to find a 7" of this "soul nugget," with "Mellow Carmello Palumbo" on the flip side, back before you could readily listen to it online (I think I bought "They're Coming To Take Me Away" by Napoleon XIV, which my brother Rod introduced me too when I was still in a primary grade, at the same time); unfortunately, the single subsequently succumbed to a crack.
