"Montreal -40°C" was one of six tracks from Malajube's second album, Trompe-l'œil, to be released as a video. It was also featured in a Rogers Wireless commercial and, in Bob Mersereau's The Top 100 Canadian Singles, ranked second among French Canadian songs and fifty-first overall.
