Invitez les Vautours, Éric Lapointe's second album, won the Félix award for Best Rock Album in 1997. The album sold more than 180,000 copies in Quebec and spawned five singles: "Je rêve encore," "Deux fois la même histoire," "D'l'amour, j'en veux pus," "Bobépine" and "Loadé comme un gun."
In 2003, Diffusion YFB released a special edition of Inivtez les Vautours that totalled 22 songs, including alternate versions, outtakes, new songs, and the non-album hits "N'Importe quoi," "Mon Ange," "Les Boys," "Rocket" and "Le Boys Blues Band." It is this expanded version – probably belonging to my daughter Teresa – that is in my collection.
Invitez les Vautours is included in Éric Trudel's 101 disques qui ont marqué le Québec.
