Ian Tyson – Cowboyography

Cowboyography is generally regarded as Ian Tyson's best solo album. It includes two songs, "Navajo Rug" and "Summer Wages," that were included among the top 100 Western songs of all time by the Western Writers of America. Unbelievably, AllMusic gives it only 3 stars out of 5, though it did place 96th in Bob Mersereau's 2007 book, The Top 100 Canadian Albums.

I tracked down this album after Lenny Everson included "The Coyote & the Cowboy" on a tape he made of Tamarack's On the Grand album and Jim Hartling reminisced about listening to it while riding in a truck out at the gold mine.
