Wailin' Jennys – 40 Days
40 Days is the debut album from The Wailin' Jennys, a female folk trio hailing from Winnipeg. It won the 2005 Juno Award for Traditional and Roots Album and AllMusic, though giving it only 3.5 stars out of 5, said it is "a most infectious first record, and highly recommended."
40 Days may be the least popular of the Wailin' Jennys albums, failing to chart (except #12 on KBCS-FM's 2005 top folk playlist), but it is the one that I most enjoy. I really don't remember who or what led me to this band or this album.
