Hey Rosetta! – Seeds
Seeds is the third album from Hey Rosetta!, a seven-piece indie rock outfit (think Arcade Fire) from Newfoundland. It was an immediate commercial success, topping the Canadian download charts.
The critical reaction to Seeds was mixed. It was short-listed for the 2011 Polaris Music Prize and garnered the band its first Juno nomination (for New Group of the Year); however, both AllMusic and Now Magazine rate it only a three out of five.
Although I don't own this album, which spawned three singles ("Welcome," "Yer Spring" and "Seeds"), I believe we did see Hey Rosetta! at an outdoor concert, perhaps opening for The Tragically Hip in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
