Irish Descendants – Look to the Sea
Look to the Sea is the second album from the Irish Descendants, a Celtic folk-rock group from Newfoundland. Although Look to the Sea didn't chart – unlike its two successors, Gypsies and Lovers and Livin' on the Edge – it did sell enough to warrant gold album status."Last of the Great Whales," released as a single, reached #31 on the Adult Contemporary charts.
Lately, whenever we spend an evening in the bars on George Street in St. John's, we find the latest incarnation of the Irish Descendants – basically Con O'Brien and anyone else he can find – playing in one bar or another (usually at O'Reilly's Pub).
