Heart – Dreamboat Annie

Probably the least "Canadian" of all the albums on the list, Dreamboat Annie was the debut album from Seattle's Heart; however, the album qualified as Canadian because it was recorded and produced at Vancouver's Mushroom Studios, and the band was living in B.C. at the time (due to the male members trying to avoid the draft). Heart was nominated as the Most Promising Group at the Juno Awards in 1976 and won Group of the Year and Producer of the Year (for American Mike Flicker) in 1977.

Dreamboat Annie has gone double platinum in Canada (over 200,000 copies sold) and platinum in the US (over a million copies), but was met with wildly differing opinion among the critics:

Three tracks from the album were released as singles and still get played on rock radio: "Crazy on You" (#25 Canada, #35 US), "Magic Man" (#26 Canada, #9 US) and "Dreamboat Annie" (#53, #42).
