Rankin Family – Fare Thee Well Love

Fare Thee Well Love is the second album from the Rankin Family and their first to garner widespread acceptance, selling over 500,000 copies, being nominated as the best roots & traditional album at the 1992 Juno Awards, and leading to a record deal with Capitol. AllMusic gives it four stars (out of five).

Fare Thee Well Love, which consists of original songs mixed with traditional jigs, reels, and Celtic songs, topped the Canadian country album charts and peaked at number five on the top albums. It spawned three hit singles: "Orangedale Whistle" (#7 country,#25 adult contemporary), "Fare Thee Well Love" (#8 adult contemporary, #9 country, #14 top singles), and "Gillis Mountain" (#4 country, #6 adult contemporary).
