Broken Social Scene – You Forgot It in People

You Forgot It in People is the second album from Broken Social Scene, a Toronto music collective that includes members from various other acts. Only founding members Kevin Drew and Brendan Canning were listed as members for the first album, but the group swelled to eleven members for this outing (although Jason Collett doesn't appear on the disk).

You Forgot It in People was ranked #19 in CBC Radio's 2013 list of the 100 Greatest Canadian Albums, #28 in Bob Mersereau's The Top 100 Canadian Albums and #36 in the Mar*Star's 2011 list, and also met with generally favourable reviews upon release:

• AllMusic rated it 4.5 stars out of 5
• Robert Christgau says the album isn't worth your time or money, but does call "Almost Crimes (Radio Kills Remix)" a choice cut
• Now Magazine gave it a perfect 5
• Pitchfork rated it a 9.2 out of 10 (and called it the 23rd best in the top 200 album of the 2000s)
• Rolling Stone gave it 3 stars out of 5
